Mothers' Day is always such a special day at The Old Church in Hope and this year was no exception. It seems we can always count on a few surprise visitors, and a plethora of great help. I am normally preoccupied, and don't take many pictures, but here are a few:
Christy and Dave Monnot wanted a unique and interesting destination wedding that was affordable and convenient. They found it at The Old Church in Hope!
Friends and family were able to travel to and from in one day, and were charmed by the chapel and surroundings.
Dave and Christy stayed a few days in the bridal suite. They call it their special place, and plan to return to celebrate anniversaries in the future.
Their wedding package included flowers designed by Petal Talk, and hors d’oeuvres catered by Ivano’s. It was wonderful. Check out their review on our facebook page.
Congratulations to Jason and Jessica Allchin!
They were looking for the perfect "little white church" for their wedding and found it at The Old Church in Hope. Fran Schuck officiated, and violinist Jessica Hrehor filled the chapel with music. Family and friends did an amazing job with flowers and hors d'oeuvre. It was a wonderful event, and we made new friends.
Sara Hansen was treated to a wonderful baby shower at The Old Church in Hope. We love to see such a happy mother-to-be, and hear the laughter and merriment emanating from family and friends gathered together. Check out the slideshow to see the fun, and don't miss the amazing cupcakes created by Jamie Jeffres.
Dennise Pringle and Justin McMillan were married at the Old Church in Hope on Saturday May 21st by F. Francis Schuck. It was a gorgeous day, and everything went without a hitch (except the intended one.) Strong Creek was living up to it's name, and there may be more pictures to post later of Dennise and Justin at the creek
We went to our first wedding expo! The Bonner County Fairgrounds hosted their third annual wedding expo on Saturday, and we had a table there. We had a great time, largely because of the fun neighbors and met some new vendors. There were four new cake makers, not counting the diapercakes (themed three tier cakes made from towels, washcloths and yes, even diapers). The DJ's, Rythm Machine provided music the whole time and there was a very good fashion show. We learned some about things we'd like to do next year (like take pictures of our own booth!). Thanks to the fairgrounds manager Rhonda for her vision of bringing together local vendors and the people that need them, Elaine from All About Weddings and Allison from Enchanted Events for all their work this year, and thanks to the folks that came by and checked us out.
Sherry Martin and Dustin Emick were married on Dec. 19 at The Old Church In Hope in a lovely winter ceremony officiated by Charley Packard. Family and friends were gathered in support, and a simple social gathering with cake from the Pine Street Bakery and a beverage bar followed the ceremony. The weather was cooperative, the mood was happy and stress-free, and we congratulate Sherry and Dustin on the continuation of their life together!
